Khalsa School Board Meeting

Tuesday, June 18, 2024

5:00 pm at the administration building

3701 E River Road, Tucson

• Public Hearing on the Adopted budget for 2024-2025 school

year

  • Adopted budget for FY2025
  • Bylaws and board member revisions

The public hearing  was convened at 5:00 pm.

No members of the public attended.

The public hearing was closed at 5:02

and the Khalsa School board meeting was convened

The members reviewed the budget for 2024-2025, questions and comments were requested. The members were supportive of the budget

Guy moved that we adopt the proposed budget

Fran seconded the motion

The motion passed unanimously and the budget for 2024-2025 was adopted

Revised bylaws were presented and reviewed. Comments were requested. The members supported the new bylaws.

A Resolution to Approve New Bylaws was read

Gurumeet moved that the Resolution to Approve New Bylaws be adopted

Guy seconded the motion

The motion passed unanimously and the resolution was adopted

Changes to the current school board were presented. Fran LaSala has requested to resign. The board accepted his request upon ASBCS approval of a replacement. Matt Goode has agreed to join the board upon approval by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools.

A Board Resolution to Appoint School Board Members was read.

Guy moved that the Board Resolution to Appoint School Board Members be adopted

Gurumeet seconded the motion

The motion passed unanimously and the resolution was adopted.

A Board Resolution to Appoint New Board Members was read and reviewed adding two new members to the Khalsa Family Services corporate board.

Guy moved that the Board Resolution to Appoint New Board Members be adopted

Fran seconded the motion

the motion passed unanimously and the resolution was adopted.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 pm

The board members signed the resolutions and the cover sheets to the budget.
