The meeting convened at 3:34 pm

Nirvair explained that Article III Section 3 of the Khalsa School Board bylaws states that the charter holder will appoint the members of the school board.

Resumes for Siri Atma Khalsa and Lindsey Pollock were shared with board members by email. Nirvair explained that Guy Senese has resigned from the board and needs to be replaced. Adding an additional member, bringing the board to 5 members, the maximum size allowed in the bylaws, will help ensure that Nirvair and Gurumeet, who are also on the corporate board, will not be a majority or quorum of the school board.

Nirvair asked if any of the board members had questions or comments about these school board candidates.

Nirinjan asked if Siri Atma is still an employee and Nirvair said she is retired. Nirinjan also asked how we know Lindsey Pollock. Gurumeet explained that Lindsey is well known in the Montessori world and has worked as a consultant for Khalsa School.

Nirvair called for a motion to approve Siri Atma Khalsa and Lindsey Pollock as new members of the Khalsa School Board.
Gurumeet moved to approve Siri Atma Khalsa and Lindsey Pollock as new members of the Khalsa School Board.
Gurusevak seconded the motion
The motion carried by unanimous vote.

The meeting adjourned at 3:38 pm.
