Board Meeting Minutes 7-5-25

July 5, 2025

MINUTES

The public hearing regarding the proposed budget was convened at 5:00pm.
No members of the public were present so the meeting was adjourned at 5:01pm.

In attendance
Board members: Nirvair Khalsa
Gurumeet Khalsa
Natalie Shepp
Guy Senese
School representatives: Lulu Camacho, Head of School
Kimberly Bourret, Finance director

The board meeting to adopt the budget was convened at 5:02 pm.

Nirvair explained that since our last meeting, the legislature passed the state budget and the legislative session ended. There were small increases to school funding and we were asked to use updated forms for the adopted budget that reflect the increase. This is why the cover sheet shows an increase in revenues from the state ($41,805 increase). There was no further discussion of the budget.

Guy made a motion to adopt the budget.
Gurumeet seconded the motion.
The motion carried unanimously.

The board members signed the cover sheet.

Gurumeet commented favorably on the average teacher salaries.

Guy announced that due to joining an advisory group to another school he will resign from this board as of September 1. The board thanked him for his service.

The meeting adjourned at 5:11pm
