Board Meeting Minutes – 6-25-25

Khalsa School Board Meeting

July 25, 2025

The meeting convened at 5:04 PM

In attendance: 

Board members

• Nirvair Khalsa
• Gurumeet Khalsa
• Guy Senese (phone)
• Natalie Shepp

Head of School – Lulu Camacho

Accountant – Kimberly Bourret

Nirvair introduced and the group welcomed Natalie Shepp, our new board member. Nirvair also introduced  Lulu Camacho, the Head of School and Kimberly Bourret, our accountant.

Head of School, Lulu Camacho, presented a review of the past school year and an update of plans for the new school year.

The board reviewed the budget for FY2026 which they had received by email. Nirvair called for questions and comments. Natalie had questions about teacher salaries, admin expenses, special education, and KCO participation. Lulu addressed these questions.

 Gurumeet moved that the proposed budget be accepted

 Guy seconded the motion

 The motion carried unanimously

Board members signed the budget cover sheet.

We will meet again on July 5 for a public hearing and meeting to adopt the budget.
