Minutes:

The meeting convened at 5:03 pm

Board members present were

Gurumeet Khalsa

Nirvair Khalsa

Guy Senese

Fran LaSala (phone)

Board members received the Annual Financial Report for review before the meeting. Nirvair asked for comments, questions. Gurumeet explained that differences between previous year/current year and actual/budget can be attributed to better matching of expenses to budget line items.

— Gurumeet moved to approve the AFR

Fran gave written permission for Gurumeet to sign for him, members signed the cover sheet. 

As Fran LaSala would like to retire from the board, Natalie Shepp, a former Khalsa School parent,  is being presented as a candidate for approval by this board. After approval we will submit her for approval by the ASBCS. After their approval she will be added to the Khalsa School Board. Board members received her resume for review before the meeting. Nirvair asked for comments. Gurumeet said she had been a very supportive and involved parent and was active with the KCO parent group.

–Fran moved to approve Natalie as a new Khalsa School board member

Last month we approved new Title IX policies in accordance with new federal requirements. Board members have received additional procedures for approval to meet the requirements. Nirvair asked for comments and questions. There were none.
